Livestreams let you watch a creator live, chat in real time, and send tips. This guide explains how to join, who can watch, what you can and can't do while watching, and what to do if something doesn't work.
How to join a livestream
Open the Feed or Explore tab.
Look for a live card, or a creator's profile picture with a live indicator.
Tap it to join. The creator's video and audio start playing and the live chat opens.
Who can watch
The creator chooses who can see each livestream:
Public: any logged-in user.
Fans and followers: people who follow the creator or have a subscription.
Fans only: people with an active subscription (or active trial access).
If a stream is limited to a group you're not part of, you'll see a locked screen with the option to follow the creator or become a fan. On Feed and Explore, the preview image of that stream is blurred.
If the creator changes the audience during the stream (for example from public to fans only), viewers who no longer qualify are taken out of the stream.
While you're watching
One-way stream: you can see and hear the creator, but the creator can't hear you. Viewers can't speak in a livestream, so your sound or microphone is always muted. See "Sound" below.
Live chat: use the chat to talk to the creator and other viewers. Messages appear in real time. You can report a chat message, see How to report content and messages on F2F.com.
Video fit: use the fullscreen/fill button in the stream header to switch between showing the full image and filling your screen (edges may be cropped). This only changes your own view.
Chat muted: the creator can mute viewers in their chat. If this happens you can keep watching, but you can't send chat messages.
Sound
What does "your sound is muted" mean?
Livestreams on F2F.com are one-way. You watch and listen, and the creator can't hear you. That's why your sound or microphone shows as muted while you watch, and it can't be turned on. This is normal and doesn't mean something is wrong with your device or account.
How do I talk to the creator?
Use the live chat. The creator can read your messages during the stream.
I can't hear the creator.
Check that your device volume is up and not on silent, and that the stream isn't muted in your browser or app. Then reload the page. If you still can't hear anything, contact support (see below).

Troubleshooting
I can't join a stream, or it closed on me.
The stream may have ended, or the creator may have limited who can watch. If a stream is no longer live, you'll see a "Stream has ended" or "Not live" message.
The stream switched to another device.
You can only watch a livestream on one device at a time. If you join from a second device, the first one is disconnected.
